Helping Kids, Changing Lives.

Grant recipient and son of a disabled, retired United States Marine

Maddox, son of a disabled, retired United States Marine, is now capable of doing “normal kid stuff” – thanks to three medical grants totaling $5,000 from the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF). Maddox was diagnosed with chronic otitis media with effusion, a buildup of fluid behind the eardrum, and he was unable to communicate due to hearing loss that he explained made him feel like he was under water. He has suffered severe ear aches and has had tubes placed in his ears three times, and these medical grants have assisted with the expensive surgeries and doctor fees.
