Youth of the Year is the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premier youth recognition program for Club members ages 14 – 18. The Youth of the Year program promotes and celebrates service to the Club and community. The program highlights the candidates’ academic achievements, vision for America’s youth, personal brand, and healthy lifestyles. Annually, one member is selected from each of Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County’s 11 Clubs to compete for the title of Youth of the year and represent Broward County for the State Judging Competition.

The 2019-2020 Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County Youth of the Year is Jeannah Ford from the Nan Knox Boys & Girls Club. She has been a member of the Nan Knox Club for over 10 years. Jeannah attends the Club daily and has participated in several core programs including Keystone Club where she holds the current title of Vice President. She has completed over 300 service hours within the past year. Jeannah is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Leadership program and received the Dale Carnegie Award as the top participant of her class.

Jeannah is a senior at Nova High School and currently has a 5.0 GPA. She is active within her school and her community and is involved in several Clubs including the volleyball team, yearbook club, and Sisters with a Purpose. Jeannah is a dual enrollment student at Broward College and will receive her Associates Degree in May of 2020.

Jeannah was accepted into over 14 colleges and universities throughout the nation. She attends the University of Central Florida and studies Business Economics.
